About Presswick

Presswick is an independent guide to affordable WordPress hosting. We exist because hosting pricing is built to be compared badly — teaser rates presented as if they last, renewal prices hidden in the fine print, and “WordPress hosting” sold as something more exotic than it is. Our job is to cut through that and rank the mainstream, budget-friendly hosts on the number that actually matters: what you renew at.

What we cover — and what we don't

We cover general-purpose, affordable WordPress hosting: the shared and entry-level plans from hosts like Bluehost, Hostinger, SiteGround, DreamHost, GreenGeeks and A2 Hosting. We deliberately do not review premium managed WordPress hosting (the Kinsta and WP Engine tier) as if it were the same product — it is a different price bracket for different needs, and we point you to it rather than blur the two. We are a hosting guide, not a website-builder site; page builders like Wix and Squarespace are out of our lane.

How we handle facts and prices

Every price is read from the host's own pricing page, dated, and shown as an intro-and-renewal pair because that pairing is the whole story. Hosting prices change constantly, so we treat them as bands and tell you to check current pricing. We do not run fabricated speed tests or claim measurements we did not take; performance judgments cite named, dated sources — WordPress.org's requirements, and 2026 roundups from Forbes Advisor, Cybernews and WPBeginner — or are framed as the host's advertised specs.

How we make money

Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the host pays us a commission at no cost to you. That commission never changes a ranking or a price — the rankings come from renewal cost and documented features, and arithmetic does not take sponsorship.
